Case summary

Resident of Karachay-Cherkessia. On November 23rd 2021, Pasynkov's home was searched. On February 21st 2022, he was summoned for questioning as a witness in Irina Perefilieva's case, who was accused of involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. On December 8th 2022, the case was initiated against Pasynkov himself, he was accused of organising the activities of an extremist organisation. On March 3rd 2023, his home was searched again. Pasynkov was put under travel ban. On January 20th 2025, he was sentenced to a six-year suspended sentence.

Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - holding meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters.
