knowing that A.A. Pesotsky, A.Y. Dmitriev and A.B. Marochkin had organised the activities of the banned extremist organisation NBP on the territory of St. Petersburg, decided to personally participate in its activities, agreed to become a member of the NBP in mid-2007 to mid-2008, thus ensuring the actual continuation of the NBP's extremist activities. Petrov's participation in the continuation of the extremist organisation's activities was expressed, according to the investigation, in the fact that he participated in uncoordinated public events organised by the NBP on the territory of St. Petersburg, aimed at expressing intolerance towards the top leaders of the current government authorities and at promoting the prohibited activities of the NBP, including on the 31st day of each month. In 2008 and 2010, Petrov, acting on behalf of the NBP, repeatedly personally participated in illegal mass public events: publicly expressing the NBP's extremist political views, shouting its slogans and displaying its symbols, thereby popularising its prohibited activities, for which he was repeatedly found guilty of violating the established procedure for holding a meeting, rally or demonstration, and repeatedly disobeying the lawful demand of a police officer in connection with his duty to protect the public.
