Case summary

Omsk activist, co-founder of the Omsk Civic Association. In August 2023, it became known that a criminal case was opened against him. Rodkin initially reported that the case was related to his anti-war activities, support for Alexei Navalny, and defence of the LGBTQ rights. Earlier, his organisation was included in the register of "foreign agents". Later it became known that the case was initiated under the article on humiliation of dignity on the grounds of belonging to a social group because of his statements addressed to the representatives of the Supreme Court. Rodkin suggests that it could be due to his comment criticising the Supreme Court's ruling that declared the "International LGBT Public Movement" an extremist organisation.

In June 2025, it became known that a criminal case was opened against Rodkin for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. According to the law enforcement version, from March 2024 to April 2025, he participated in the activities of the "International LGBT Movement", publishing materials about it, in which he "propagandised it, defended its participants and opposed its ban".
