Petr Romaniuk

He was born in Ukraine, traveled there for work, and lived in Karelia. A case of committing a terrorist act was opened against him in connection with the arson attack on a military recruitment center in Suojärvi. The SOTAvision media claims that Romaniuk is accused of watching Ukrainian channels and failing to remove himself from military registration while staying abroad. However, this is not noted in any way on the court's website. The defense argues that Romaniuk's involvement in the arson case has not been proven in any way: the investigation failed to establish even the sex or age of the person who threw a Molotov cocktail into the building. As evidence of Romaniuk's alleged intent, the authorities cited publications from 2014 found on his phone, which were related to Putin, Crimea, and the fighting in Donbas. On 13 March 2025, Romaniuk was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime penal colony.
