Case summary
He is a resident of Tomsk, an employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. On 18 June 2024, he was detained as part of a case of spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces in connection with his statements on VKontakte about the Russian army's crimes, in particular, in Bucha and Irpen, as well as the strike on Kremenchug. On 20 June, the court elected a preventive measure for him in the form of a ban on certain actions. On 17 August 2024, the measure of restraint was replaced by recognisance not to leave. On 6 September this Tomsk resident was sentenced to a fine of 850 thousand rubles, reducing the amount to 800 thousand taking into consideration the period for which he was detained, as well as the time spent under a ban on certain actions.
