Case summary

A resident of Neftekumsk (Stavropol Territory). Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, joint worship services, attracting new supporters. It was reported that Shcherbich left Russia and was put on the wanted list. In June 2020, it became known that he was also accused of raising funds for an extremist organisation. In June 2024, Shcherbich was taken into custody. In May 2025, the court sentenced him to a fine of 300 thousand rubles, after which the man was released on his own recognisance.
