Case summary
On 29 April 2020, Shcherbina's home was searched. On 12 November, a case was opened against him for participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. On 2 December, he was searched again, after which Shcherbina was questioned and released on his own recognisance.
On 6 April 2021, he was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. He was taken into custody in the courtroom. In May he was sent to the colony until the appeal was considered. On 24 June, the appeal court reduced the sentence to two years. He was released in February 2023.
