Case summary

Resident of Moscow, student of the Moscow College of Architecture and Urban Planning. On 19 January 2024, a message about his search was circulated. It follows from the materials of the criminal case that as early as 16 January he was detained in the Bryansk region. Only on 28 January 2024 Sevostyanikhin was sent to custody on charges of attempted illegal border crossing. What happened to him for ten days is unknown. Later, he was also accused of preparing to participate in the activities of a terrorist organisation, then the charge was reclassified to attempted participation in such activities. Sevostyanikhin was also accused of attempted treason. According to the investigation, he intended to enter the territory of Ukraine and join the ranks of the Legion of Freedom of Russia. On 5 September 2024, Sevostyanikhin was sentenced to ten years in a strict regime colony.
