Farit Sharifullin

The investigation alleges in the indictment that from 2015 to 2017 he organised and conducted at least 54 training and other meetings of Hizb ut-Tahrir participants in Kazan, and participated in at least 12 mass meetings of Hizb ut-Tahrir activists from 2014 to 2017 in Tatarstan. This is confirmed by audio recordings of two small training events in autumn 2015, several participants of which identified the voice of the "teacher" ("mushrif") on them as Sharifullin's. The accused person's organisational activities in the remaining meetings are confirmed only by the testimony of several former participants of Hizb ut-Tahrir, including one secret witness and A. G. Shamsutdinov, who is serving a criminal sentence for participation in the party's activities. The financing of terrorism (part 1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) consists, according to investigator A. Zaitsev, in Sharifullin's collection of donations for printing ideological literature from Hizb ut-Tahrir members and supporting prisoners and their families in Hizb ut-Tahrir cases. One of the participants of several training meetings ("khalakat" and "amali"), prisoner A.G. Shamsutdinov testified that he knows that three participants of his training group from November 2016 to June 2017 gave Sharifullin at least 100 rubles each month, and in total they gave him at least 4,000 rubles. The investigation also alleges that Farit Sharifullin, under unspecified circumstances, between 25 October 2018 and 21 February 2020, acquired a knowingly forged driving licence in the name of Alexei Spiridonov, which he kept and transported. This document was seized from him during his detention. According to the conclusion of the expert on technical-criminalistic forensic examination, the certificate "has signs of complete forgery".
