Case summary
A resident of Nikolsk (Penza region). In October 2020, searches were conducted at his home and at his wife's registered address as part of a criminal investigation against several local residents. On 19 August 2021, Shayapov's case was moved into a seperate proceeding, he was also put on the wanted list. In February 2022, Shayapov was detained in the Moscow region. From there, he was moved to the Penza region, where the criminal case against Yuri Kim had been under investigation since October 2020. Shayapov was placed under house arrest. On 7 November 2022, Shayapov was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence.
