Case summary
A resident of Prokopyevsk (Kemerovo Region). On 21 January 2025 he was detained after a search. On 23 January, the court placed him under house arrest on charges of organising activities of an extremist organisation because of his involvement in the activities of the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely because of their religious activities - organising meetings and worship services and attracting new supporters.
