Case summary
A student of the Tomsk Governor's College of Culture and Arts. She curated a social media page in VKontakte network, where she posted her anime-style drawings. She was prosecuted for distribution of pornography after her classmate found "drawings with pornographic content" on the page in January 2024. She notarised the pictures and, along with other college students, filed a complaint to the deputy principal of her college and the supervisor of the study group. On 9 October 2024 Shmakova was given a one-year suspended sentence, but was released since she expressed repentance in court.
