Case summary
In September, FSB officers searched the home of a pensioner and took her to Vladivostok, where a court imposed restrictions on her freedom of movement as a pre-trial measure. A state-appointed lawyer advised her to plead guilty.
In November, Sinitsyna was sent for inpatient psychiatric evaluation. Doctors at the regional psychiatric hospital diagnosed her with “psychoorganic syndrome” and a disorder of the “schizophrenic spectrum.”
On 25 May 2023, Sinitsyna was sentenced to one and a half years in a settlement colony. She was reportedly released in February 2025.
