According to the investigation, he posted comments in one of the city's "VKontakte" blogs, which contain statements with a negative assessment of "a group of persons united by professional characteristics - military men of the Russian army": presumably, he called them cowards, traitors and turncoats. One of the comments read: "There is no such a thing as your army! There are criminals who have betrayed their oaths and violated the criminal laws of their homeland". In May 2024, Slotin was fined ten thousand rubles under the administrative article on incitement to hatred or enmity (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of a video claiming that Belgorod was being shelled not by the Ukrainian but by the Russian army.

Full summary
Resident of Koryazhma (Arkhangelsk region), participant of actions in defence of the Shiess station, where a landfill was planned to be built. In February 2025, it became known that he was charged with repeated incitement to hatred because of his statements about the Russian military: according to the investigation, he called them cowards, traitors and turncoats. He was given a recognisance not to leave the country.
On 7 July 2025, the court sentenced him to a fine of 330 thousand rubles.
Later it became known that a case of discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was brought against Slotin. In October 2025, Slotin did not appear in court. On 16 December 2025, he was sentenced in absentia to one and a half years in prison.
