Case summary

He is an opposition politician, blogger, chairman of the social and political movement Civil Society, one of the main Russian-speaking popularisers of right-wing libertarianism. On 2 August 2023, it became known that Svetov was prosecuted for rehabilitation of Nazism because of his performance of a song about Bandera in September 2021 in his Telegram channel. Svetov believes that the case was initiated because of two-years-old denunciations from followers of Vladislav Pozdnyakov, the founder of the Men's State movement.
