Case summary
Resident of Ufa. On 11 February 2026 following mass home searches of Jehovah's Witnesses in Ufa, Tazyrov and his wife were detained on charges of organising activities of an extremist organisation in connection with their involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities, such as meetings, joint worship services, and attracting new supporters.
On 13 February Tazyrov was taken into custody.
