Case summary
A resident of Kemerovo. In September 2024, a court fined her 30,000 roubles (US$373) under an administrative protocol for discrediting the army because of anti-war comments.
On 1 July 2025, the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office reported that a case against her under the article on insulting the memory of defenders of the Fatherland on the Internet had been referred to court. The reason for the criminal prosecution was the woman's comment under the news from 9 May 2024 that in the Kemerovo region more than 100 thousand people participated in the action "Immortal Regiment". The comment read: "Why carry corpses on a stick".
On 12 August 2025, Tikhonova received a two-year suspended sentence.
