Case summary

On 25 September 2014, he became a suspect in a criminal case on calls for extremist activity and was arrested on 26 September; according to the investigation, he reposted a text on the social network VKontakte that the deputy head of the Dnipropetrovsk administration, Borys Filatov, allegedly offered a reward for Putin's removal. According to activist Darya Polyudova, Titarenko shares a cell with the "thief in law"; when Polyudova was in the pre-trial detention centre, Titarenko's cell was next door to her cell, and every evening she heard shouting from there; according to her, Titarenko asked his superior to move him to another cell, but he did not grant his request. Titarenko was also questioned as part of the Polyudova case, and he gave the testimony required by the investigation; on 26 March 2015, he was released from the pre-trial detention centre on his own recognisance.

On 15 September 2015, he was sentenced to a fine of 100 thousand rubles
