Case summary
Founder of the "Council of Mothers and Wives", a group that campaigned for better conditions for mobilised soldiers. In May 2023, she was added to the register of "foreign agents". By January 2025 at the latest, Tsukanova had been declared wanted in a case concerning alleged failure to comply with the obligations of a "foreign agent". On 27 February 2025, she arrived at the Investigative Committee together with supporters and was detained. The following day, she was taken into custody. On 26 August 2025, she was sentenced to one year and seven months of community service. Taking into account the time spent in a remand centre, she will effectively serve one month of community service.
