Case summary
On 12 October 2022, Tsybaneva was placed under house arrest in the case of desecration of burial sites. On 7 November, the preventive measure was replaced by a prohibition of certain actionы.
The reason for the prosecution was a note, which Tsybaneva, according to the investigation, left on the grave of Putin's parents. According to "Mediazona", the content of the note became known: "Parents of the maniac, take him to yourself, he causes so much pain and misery, the whole world begs for his death <unintelligible> Death to Putin, you have raised a freak and a murderer". According to Tsybaneva herself, she left the letter after she "watched the news, realised that everything is very terrible, everything is very sad, there are so many dead." On 11 May 2023, Tsybaneva was sentenced to two years of conditioned prison sentence.
