Case summary
On 28 February 2023, Jehovah's Witnesses were searched in Elista on a criminal case of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation. Tutinova was detained. On 1 March, the court placed her under house arrest. On 24 June 2024, she was given a three-year suspended sentence.
On 17 September, the court of appeals increased the sentence from three to four years suspended with a probation period of one year.
