Case summary

10 April 2018 Vilitkevich was detained in a case on the activities of an extremist organisation, arrested on 12 April. On 21 June, he was transferred under house arrest. On 28 February 2019, he was released on his own recognisance. The charge was brought under the article on organising the activities of an extremist organisation, but the court, while passing sentence, reclassified the charge to participation in the activities. On 27 September Vilitkevich was sentenced to two years' suspended sentence.
