Case summary

On 10 December 2014, Vologzheninova's internet was disconnected on behalf of the special services, after which an unknown person, who introduced himself as an employee of an ISP, arranged a visit to fix the problem; on 12 December, Vologzheninova was searched, with witnesses participating in the search; She was first accused of posting links to the Ukrainian talk show "Horobri Sertsya" dedicated to the Anti-Terrorist Operation fighters, a film about Euromaidan "Winter that Changed Us" and a video "Putin's Yacht", as well as publishing a portrait of Stepan Bandera; The indictment accuses Vologzheninova of publishing a poem by Anatoliy Marushkevich entitled "Katsaps" (an ethnophaulism in Polish and Ukrainian for Russians), an image of a man resembling Putin and a hand with a knife with the inscription "Stop the contagion", an image of a girl in Ukrainian national costume with a weapon with the inscription "Death to the Moscow occupiers", an image of a cross with an appeal to Russian citizens that entry to Ukraine is restricted due to a shortage of morgue beds, a text by journalist Vladimir Shreidler, and an open appeal to "so-called volunteers from Russia"; placed on the Rosfinmonitoring list, due to which her accounts have been blocked; sentenced to 320 hours of compulsory labour on 20 February 2016
