Case summary

On 23 January 2018 and 22 July 2019, searches were conducted at Yavushkin's house, after the second one he was detained. On 24 July, the court sent him under house arrest in the case of participation in an extremist organisation.

On 13 January 2020, Yavushkin was also accused of financing extremist activities.

On 22 June 2021, he was sentenced to a four-year suspended sentence. On 15 September 2023, the prosecution was terminated on parole.
