Case summary

Leonid Iudin is a resident of Ulan-Ude. It is suspected that he was detained in May 2023 in the Bryansk region. After that he was taken into custody on charges of attempted treason, participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and illegal border crossing: according to the investigation, he intended to enter the territory of Ukraine and join the ranks of the Russian Freedom Legion. On 12 December 2023, Iudin was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime colony.
