According to the investigation, from 03.04.2022 to 06.04.2022 Zhuravlev, guided by motives of political and ideological hatred and enmity towards persons from among the representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, representatives of state bodies, etc., posted three entries in the social network in the group "City of Oranienbaum", in which the knowingly false information was presented under the guise of the true and complete information.

Full summary
He is a resident of St. Petersburg, an urban preservationist, formerly a municipal councillor, before that an engineer at military factories, and author of books about the military glory of Oranienbaum (a palace and park ensemble near St. Petersburg). On 26 June 2025, he was searched in a case of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army with the motive of political hatred. The next day Zhuravlev was sent under house arrest. The reason for his prosecution were three posts about the war in the group "City of Oranienbaum" in "VKontakte", published in April 2022.
