Tatyana Vladimirovna Shadrina, professionally known as Tatyana Felgenhauer, is a Russian journalist and broadcaster. She spent more than fifteen years at the Echo of Moscow radio station, working as a correspondent and presenter and becoming deputy editor-in-chief in 2016. After the station was shut down in 2022, she worked for Deutsche Welle’s Russian-language YouTube service and later became a creative producer and presenter at Mediazona.
Russia’s Justice Ministry designated her a “foreign agent” on October 21, 2022. She was subsequently fined several times for publishing material without the mandatory “foreign agent” disclaimer.
In 2024, the administrative proceedings escalated into a criminal case. Investigators charged Felgenhauer under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code for alleged repeated failure to comply with “foreign agent” obligations. Court materials cited earlier administrative cases concerning posts that lacked the required label.
On December 20, 2024, Moscow’s Nikulinsky District Court ordered her arrest in absentia. The detention order would take effect if she were extradited, deported or detained in Russia. Authorities also placed her on an international wanted list.
In May 2025, state news agency RIA Novosti, citing an unnamed law-enforcement source, reported that a second criminal case had been opened under Part 2 of Article 205.2 concerning alleged public justification or advocacy of terrorism online. Media reports linked the allegation to a broadcast discussing the killing of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov. However, there was no official confirmation at the time, and Felgenhauer said she had learned of the purported case from the news.
