Full wording of the charges
The reason for the initiation of a case of public justification of terrorism was a video on the Popular Politics YouTube channel on December 17, 2024, which discussed the blowing up of Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Troops, outside an apartment block on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow. The investigators sent for examination the first part of her answer to a question about Kirillov: "It seemed to me that this is, of course, very important news. I will now try to avoid emotional epithets, but let's put it this way, I said right out loud: "That's cool." Cool in the sense that it's very serious. It is very serious, and I assume, I don't know, but I assume that all these people who are behind the criminal orders <...> and the continuation of the war of aggression against Ukraine, this morning when they read this news, they all got scared, they will all be very uncomfortable for the rest of their lives."

Former Echo of Moscow deputy editor-in-chief Tatyana Felgenhauer was arrested in absentia in a “foreign agent” case. A second, terrorism-related case has been reported only by an anonymous source cited by RIA Novosti.

Lived in Moscow, worked as a presenter at Ekho Moskvy radio station until its closure in 2022. Co-host on Deutsche Welle's YouTube channel in Russian, co-host of regular streams on Mediazona. In October 2022, she was included in the register of "foreign agents". In September 2024, it became known that Felgengauer was prosecuted for evading her duties as a foreign agent. In May 2025, it was reported that she was also prosecuted for incitement to terrorism because of her broadcast about the blowing up of Igor Kirillov, the head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defence Troops, near an apartment block on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow: Felgengauer admitted that after learning about the assassination attempt, she said to herself: "This is cool".
