Case summary

Resident of Khasavyurt (Dagestan). A case has been opened for dissemination of deliberately false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He was on his own recognisance not to leave. He admitted his guilt. On 8 November 2023, Abakargadzhiev was sentenced to five years' imprisonment, which was replaced by three years of forced labour. On 1 February 2024, the appellate court overturned the sentence and sent the case for a new trial. On 28 May 2024, Abakargadzhiev was sentenced to five years of forced labour. On 6 August 2024, the sentence was reduced to three years of forced labour.
