Case summary
Bogdan Abdurakhmanov is a resident of Goryachiy Klyuch (Krasnodar Region). He was detained on the 7th of October, 2022, in relation to the case of arson of a military recruitment centre. Initially, he was charged with attempted damage to property by arson (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code with an application of part 3 of article 30 of the Criminal Code), but then the charge was reclassified to committing a terrorist act by a group of people with significant damage (paragraphs "a", "c" of part 2 of article 205 of the Criminal Code). On the 24th of October, the court decided to send him into custody. He was initially mentioned in the court ruling as a person with the initial A.. At the court hearing on the 17th of April, 2024, Abdurakhmanov stated that the idea to set fire to the military recruitment office was his, but the case materials show that he acted on the instructions of his accomplice Boris Goncharenko. Later, during the court hearings, the prosecutor reclassified the charges against Abdurakhmanov to Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, and against Goncharenko to aiding and abetting terrorist activity, thus designating Abdurakhmanov as the main perpetrator. On the 13th of January, 2025, Abdurakhmanov was sentenced to 13 years in a strict regime penal colony.
