Case summary
A resident of the settlement of Volzhsky (Samara region). A criminal case was opened against him and Aleksandr Vragov on charges of the rehabilitation of Nazism after they urinated on a monument to “participants in the special military operation” in the form of a tank. They were taken into custody. Local media, citing the Investigative Committee’s press service, reported that Abdikanov has relatives who are natives of Ukraine. In a published video apology, he stated that he had been intoxicated and had not intended to insult Russian servicemen. He pleaded guilty. On 1 April 2024, Abdikanov was sentenced to one and a half years in a penal colony-settlement. He was presumably released in September 2024.
