Case summary

Ataman was a Ukrainian trooper. He was captured in Mariupol no later than August 2023. A case of participation in the activities of a terrorist community was opened against him due to his involvement in the activities of the Azov battalion. On 22 September 2025, Ataman was sentenced to 20 years in a strict regime penal colony.
