According to the Barents Observer, the case was initiated due to a publication about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in 2022 and a comment on the Ukrainian operation "Web." In the first episode, the investigator considered a post published on Bagirova's VKontakte page in September 2022 as an incitement to terrorism. It was a repost from the Telegram channel "Kolokol XXI," dedicated to the successful counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region. A specialist from the FSB Directorate for the Komi Republic considered the following phrase an incitement to the murder of the then Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu: "...panic in the orc camp <...> average pro-Russian supporters are waking up by the thousands, saying that Strelkov was right, there are traitors in the Kremlin, Shoigu should be hanged, the political leadership needs to be changed." In the second episode, the justification of terrorism was seen in Bagirova's comment about the Ukrainian operation "Web," during which several Russian military airfields were attacked. On the Telegram channel "Honest Deputy," under the news about the operation, Oksana Bagirova wrote three sentences: "Epic! As a Russian woman, I am delighted! Glory to Ukraine!" According to investigator K. Nazarov, Oksana Bagirova, in commenting on the "Web" operation, foresaw "the inevitability of socially dangerous consequences and desired their occurrence."

A resident of Ukhta, hairdresser. In 2025, she ran for deputy to the Komi State Council from the CPRF and came second in the district, behind the United Russia candidate.
A few days after the election, on 19 September, she was detained in a case of justifying terrorism on the Internet because of a repost and a comment. According to the Barents Observer, in the first case Bagirova shared a publication of the Telegram channel "Kolokol XXI" about the successful counter-offensive of the AFU in 2022. The expert found calls for murder in a phrase from the publication: "The average pro-russian supporter has thousands of epiphanies: Strelkov was right, the Kremlin is full of traitors, Shoigu should be hanged, the political leadership should be changed. The second episode is related to Bagirova's comment on the news about Ukrainian drones attacking Russian military airfields: "Epic! As a Russian woman admired! Glory to Ukraine."
After her arrest, Bagirova was taken into custody.
On 16 March 2026, Baghirova was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
