Case summary

Resident of Voronezh, activist. Before the trial, she fought against the cancellation of direct routes from Voronezh to Novaya Usman and collected signatures at people's gatherings. In this connection, complaints were filed against her for allegedly organising mass riots.

She was detained on 13 May 2020 and kept in a temporary detention centre for 24 hours. She spoke about how she gave testimony under threats, but soon withdrew it. The activist also said that pressure was also exerted on her young son. The investigator threatened to send him to an orphanage. On the day of Belova's detention the guardianship service visited her.

On 4 December 2020, she was sentenced to a fine of 400 thousand rubles, on 19 April 2022, the cassation court reduced the fine by 10 thousand rubles.
