Case summary
Ukrainian serviceman. Captured in April 2022. On 20 December 2023, he was sentenced in the occupied territory of Donetsk region of Ukraine to 23 years in a strict regime colony on charges of attempted murder of two or more people, use of prohibited means and methods in an armed conflict, and damage to other people's property: According to the investigation, he and eight of his fellow servicemen participated in the shelling of the village of Lebedynskoe. Bezmenov was also prosecuted for participation in the activities of a terrorist community due to his involvement in the activities of the "Azov" battalion. In January 2026, the case went to court.
