Case summary

A citizen of Tajikistan. On 7 November 2012, alleged members of Hizb ut-Tahrir, including Boboev, were searched in Moscow, but he was not prosecuted at that time. Boboev was next searched in February 2016. He was taken into custody on the case of activities of an extremist organisation and preparation for violent seizure of power. Later, the charges in connection with the activities of an extremist organisation were dropped due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. On 4 October 2016, Boboev was sentenced to nine years in a strict regime colony. Presumably, he was released in February 2025.
