Case summary

A resident of Primorsky Krai, a specialist in telecommunications and Internet services. He was prosecuted for incitement to extremism and terrorism because of his aggressive remarks about Putin and United Russia and because of a comment approving the actions of Mikhail Zhlobitsky, who blew himself up in the building of the Arkhangelsk region's FSB office. Bondarenko claimed that he did not write these comments: he pointed out that the administration of VKontakte regularly blocked his page, and he used the social network via his phone, which he once lost. In May 2022, Bondarenko was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
