According to the FSB, he repeatedly posted calls for a violent change of power in Russia on the Internet. "Mediazona" with reference to the state prosecutor's speech in court, reported that his case was brought up for comments in "VKontakte" about Vladimir Putin and "United Russia", published from the account under the name Maxim Pechnik between 1 October 2022 and 29 December 2024 in the groups "Vologda Region VKontakte", "Cherepovets Life", and "Cherepovets Best". These posts, according to the prosecution, contained calls to carry out terrorist activities. In particular, it concerned the following comments: "I am healthy, but in no fucking way will I go to war. Shoot Putin together with the United Russia!"; "We should not whine here! We should stand up with the whole country and chase this shitty government away! They, the bastards, have already looted the whole country! We're sick of Putin's lies! Patient Russian fool!"; "People, arm yourselves, and let's go chase away United Russia together with Putin! Russia no longer exists! Let's save what's left!".

Full summary
A resident of Cherepovets, a refractory worker at Severstal. In July 2025, the FSB reported his detention and arrest under the case of calls for terrorism. According to the version of law enforcers, he repeatedly posted on the Internet calls for a violent change of power in Russia. In particular, the man wrote that Putin should be "shot together with the United Russia party" and called to "chase this shitty government away".
According to Mediazona, Bratakhin was already detained on 5 June. On 14 October 2025, the court sentenced him to three years in a general regime colony.
