According to the investigation, in April 2022, the convicted person voluntarily joined the terrorist community - the Donbass battalion. On the territory of the permanent deployment point located in the city of Slavyansk, he underwent training, during which he acquired the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to carry out terrorist activities, was provided with uniforms and combat weapons. After that, he fulfilled his functional duties at the battalion's combat positions.
