According to the investigation, he initiated contact with SSU officers via a chatbot in Telegram messenger - STOP Russian War and transmitted information about military facilities in Sevastopol through it and by e-mail. He had a hostile attitude towards the Russian Federation and the so-called SVO (special military operation) conducted by it, i.e. he was guided by the motives of political enmity. On 14 November 2022, through his personal account in Telegram, he transmitted to the chatbot STOP Russian War information about a missile or plane flying over Sevastopol. On the same day, Bunin was contacted, according to the investigation, by an SSU officer and offered to continue confidential communication via email on the Proton service. On 15 November 2022, Bunin, according to the investigation, visited the locations in turn: military unit 63876 (military base No. 81) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, at the address: 10, Monastyrskoe Shosse, Sevastopol; military unit 85683-C (military base No. 301) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, at the address: 80, Fiolentovskoe Shosse, Sevastopol; military unit 80365 (military base No. 179) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, at 16 Shabalina Street, Sevastopol. On the ground, he allegedly "using the mobile application 'Maps' installed in his mobile phone, determined the exact geographical coordinates of these objects". On 16 November, he "transferred the information he had collected on 15.11.2022 about the military units to a representative of the SSU" by email. On 17 November 2022, within half an hour in the afternoon, he observed the location of the military unit 13140 (military base No. 116) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, located at Kazachya Bukhta 25, Sevastopol, photographed the RF Armed Forces facility and, using the mobile application "Maps", determined its exact geographic coordinates. On the same day, he also determined the exact geographic coordinates of the adjoining military unit 49385 (military base No. 292) and military unit 43536 (military base No. 277) located at Khersonskiy Mayak 2, Sevastopol. On the same day, he sent the collected information about the locations of the military units to the SSU representative's e-mail address. On 21 November, he was near the location of military units 80159 and 46434 (Military base No. 5) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, at the address: 43-a Fedorovskaia Street, Sevastopol, "where he carried out covert visual observation of the specified object of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and determined its exact geographical coordinates using the mobile application "Maps" installed in his mobile phone". On the same day, he visited the military unit 63876 (Military Camp No. 299) of the Russian Ministry of Defence, at the address: 20 Shubikova Street, Sevastopol, and also determined its coordinates. After that, also on 21 November, he passed this information to the SSU representative. On 22 November, he was at the Grafskaia Wharf (pier No. 144) - Primorskii Boulevard (the place near the memorial plaque to the shot sailors of the cruiser "Ochakov"), where he allegedly carried out a covert visual surveillance of: the place of deployment of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet; the mooring of the Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergei Kotov; the anchorage of the large landing ship "Korolev" of the Northern Fleet and the location of the booms (mechanical protection equipment) of the Black Sea Fleet landing ship brigade; the location and design of boom-net barriers in Sevastopol Bay; the mooring place of the anti-diversion boat "Kinel" of the Black Sea Fleet. He photographed all these objects, determined their coordinates and "means of their defence". On the same day, he handed over the information and photographs of the units and facilities of the Russian Armed Forces to a representative of the SSU. On 23 November 2022, he supplemented this information by transmitting "exact geographic coordinates and a brief description: the location of the Black Sea Fleet submarines in the Southern Bay, the location of the Black Sea Fleet patrol ship Sergei Kotov in the Southern Bay, the location of the large landing ship Korolev of the Northern Fleet and the location of the booms (mechanical protection means), the location of the Black Sea Fleet landing ship brigade in the Southern Bay, the location and design of the boom-net barriers of the Sevastopol Bay and the location of the mooring of the Black Sea Fleet counter-diversion boat Kinel.
