Case summary
Resident of Ryazan, animal rights defender. He is involved in sheltering and rehabilitation of homeless animals. After the start of the war in Ukraine, he renamed his page on Odnoklassniki to "Nikita No-War" and started actively posting comments. A case was opened against him on charges of rehabilitating Nazism, and Chernichkin was placed under recognizance not to leave. Later, he was also charged with public justification of terrorism and spreading military "fakes" motivated by political hatred. It is known that no later than in August 2023, a motion for his detention was considered, but either it was not granted or he was later released. On 7 June 2024, Chernichkin was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
