According to the investigation, he was a supporter of Nazi ideology, and through the Internet messenger "Telegram" he repeatedly publicly justified the activities of the Ukrainian nationalist organisation, which is recognised as a terrorist organisation in Russia. According to the defendant himself, in November 2024, he learnt about the Russian Volunteer Corps from a story on the REN-TV channel. He became interested in its activities, found the organisation's Telegram channel, subscribed to it and under one of the posts left the comment "Glory to the RVC".
