Case summary

Maxim Dmitrienko is a resident of Volgograd. According to official data, he served in the French Foreign Legion. On the 25th of March, 2022, he was detained in Moscow and a report was drawn up against him under the administrative article on hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences), accusing him of swearing while "being on track No. 3 of the Eastern Railway Station". Dmitrienko was arrested for 10 days. On the 4th of April, he was detained already in relation to the criminal case and accused of intent to fight on the side of Ukraine. On the same day, he was placed in custody. On the 22nd of December, 2022, Dmitrienko was sentenced to four years in a strict regime colony.
