Case summary

A resident of Kaluga Region, a landscaper for Russian Railways. The criminal prosecution became known in June 2023. The reason for the prosecution was anti-war leaflets that Epikhin placed in the snow in the street in the settlement of Tovarkovo. After the detention, law enforcers allegedly found "an explosive substance derived from pyrotechnic products" at Epikhin's home. He was taken into custody. On 7 July 2023, Epikhin was sentenced to three years in a general regime colony. On 5 October, the court of appeal reduced the term by three months. In December 2025, Epikhin was released.
