Case summary

A 28-year-old resident of Ussuriysk (Primorsky Krai), a taxi driver, formerly served in the Guards Airborne Assault Brigade. According to the investigation, he distributed in messengers "a video discrediting Russian servicemen," which shows the destroyed cities of Donbass and broken Russian equipment, as well as two dialogues between servicemen. The dialogues talk about military casualties and the difficulties they face in trying to leave the front. Erbes has been detained. According to official reports, after criminal proceedings were initiated, he stated that the video he was distributing was a "fake". He was released under an undertaking to appear. On 2 August 2022, the court sentenced Erbes to six months of correctional labour.
