Case summary

25 November 2018, detained when Russian ships blocked Ukrainian ships in the Black Sea near Crimea, wounded in the shelling. On November 27 he was taken into custody on charges of illegally crossing the Russian border, transferred to the Matrosskaya Tishina pre-trial detention center hospital on 29th of November, then he was transferred to the Lefortovo pre-trial detention centre in January 2019. On 7 September 2019, he was released as part of the exchange of Ukrainian political prisoners in the Russian Federation for a group of people released by Ukraine and arrived on the territory of Ukraine.
