Case summary
Administrator of the group "Citizens of the USSR Orel". The case was initiated in March 2022. Initially it was reported that the case was initiated under the article on calls to extremism, but later it became known that Florinsky was charged with public justification of terrorism.
Ilya was held in the case as a suspect. In March 2022, he was interrogated, after which the investigator served him with a notice on the need to appear to face charges. However, he did not appear at the investigative measures, after which he was declared wanted. In August, Florinsky was detained and taken into custody.
The group "Citizens of the USSR. Orel" had been blocked for two years by the time the criminal case was initiated. Florinsky claimed that he first saw the video during an interrogation.
On 19 April 2023 he was sentenced to 6 years in prison, in August 2023 the appeal left the sentence unchanged.
