Case summary

Deputy head of the "National Alliance of Tajikistan", which is banned on the territory of the state. In 2019, he was, in his own words, detained in Moscow and forcibly sent to Dushanbe, where he was tortured and forced to film propaganda videos. He later managed to leave for Europe and lives in the Netherlands. In Tajikistan, a case of smuggling and document forgery was brought against him.

In May 2024, Gadoev was arrested in absentia in a case of spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. It was initiated because of a 2022 video in which Gadoev spoke about the deaths of Ukrainian civilians from the actions of the Russian army. On 29 July 2025, the Basmanny District Court of Moscow sentenced him in absentia to eight and a half years in a general regime colony.
