Case summary
Associate Professor at Tomsk Polytechnic University, developer of hypersonic technologies. He was a co-author in works on hypersonic technology by Valery Zvegintsev, Anatoly Maslov, and Alexandr Shiplyuk of the Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, who were taken into custody on charges of high treason. In December 2023, Galkin himself was detained on the same charge. He was taken into custody.
