Case summary

The resident of Naberezhnye Chelny. He was detained on 4 April 2023, police officers referred to some "anonymous report" that he was transferring money to the AFU. At the police station he was forced to show the contents of his phone (this was later used to open a criminal case), but was later released. In September, Gareyev was searched in a criminal case on public justification of terrorism and calls for activities against the security of the Russian Federation. As a preventive measure, he was ordered to sign a covenant not to leave the country. Later Gareev was able to leave Russia.
